Privacy Policy

This policy sets out what data Animo handles and the safeguards around it. The guiding rule is simple: nothing is collected beyond what running the service actually requires.

Personal Information We Collect

1.1 AI & Cloud Processing Data

Producing a result means your chosen photo passes through our processing pipeline. The following limits apply to that step:

• Scope of processing: only the photos you choose are uploaded, and each one is used for a single purpose — producing the exact video or image you requested.
• No facial profiling: we do not generate, gather, or keep biometric facial templates, raw facial vectors, or any lasting facial identifier.
• No repurposing: without your clear consent, uploaded media is never turned into advertising material, user profiles, or training data for AI models.
• Prompt removal: once your result is delivered, the original file is erased from our servers automatically and permanently, with no backup kept.
• In-house systems: generation runs on models we operate ourselves, on private infrastructure; your content is never passed to outside AI services or third-party cloud models.

1.2 Usage & Device Information

Animo works without an account, so the data below stays linked to an anonymous device identifier and points to no individual. It can include:

• Device identifier: a unique identifier for the device (UUID).
• System details: operating system version, device model, and mobile network information.
• Connection records: IP address together with service access logs.
• Activity within the app: a history of how you interact with features.

How We Use Your Information

That limited set of data supports four things, and nothing outside them:

• Running the core feature: turning your selected photo into the AI video or image you requested.
• Helping you: answering questions, resolving issues, and acting on feedback.
• Keeping things safe: spotting and stopping fraud, abuse, and breaches of the terms.
• Making the product better: tracing faults and raising the quality and reliability of generation.

Device Permissions

Permissions are requested only at the moment a feature relies on them, and every one stays under your control in the device settings:

• Photos: so you can pick the image you want to turn into a video.
• Camera: so you can shoot a fresh photo for processing.
• Tracking (IDFA): applied only after you agree, to tailor the experience; turning it down leaves the core features intact.
• Notifications: so you hear back the moment a generation finishes.

Third-Party Disclosure & Data Transfer

Your data stays with us, and any handoff is tightly bounded:

• Never sold: your personal information is not for sale.
• Vetted vendors: a narrow slice of data may run on infrastructure partners (such as AWS) that are held to confidentiality terms.
• No ad-network sharing: we do not pass your data to outside parties for their own marketing.
• Lawful requests only: disclosure happens solely where the law or a valid legal process compels it.
• Cross-border safeguards: transfers across regions satisfy the security standards that apply.

Data Security & Retention

• Holding period: data tied to the anonymous device identifier lives only as long as the service genuinely needs it.
• Source files: your original photo goes the moment processing ends.
• In-transit protection: anything moving across the network is wrapped in industry-standard end-to-end encryption.

Children's Privacy

Animo is not built for anyone under 13, or under the minimum age that applies where you live. We do not knowingly take in data from children, and any such data is removed at once if it comes to light.

Terms of Service

These terms set the ground rules for using Animo. Going ahead means you accept them, so a careful read is worth the minute.

Acceptance of Terms

Use of Animo is open to anyone aged 13 or older (or the higher minimum your local law may set) who can legally enter into an agreement. Opening the app signals that acceptance.

Generative AI (AIGC) Provisions

2.1 Input Responsibility

What you submit is your responsibility alone. You need to hold every right required over that material, and it must stay clear of anyone else's rights.

2.2 Output Nature

Results may repeat across different users, and their accuracy, quality, or fitness for a given use is not something we warrant.

2.3 AI Labeling & Watermarking

To meet the digital-content rules in force, Animo may write digital watermarks or "AI-Generated" metadata into a result. Stripping out or working around those markers is not allowed.

Intellectual Property

• Material you upload: ownership of your original photos stays yours; you simply grant Animo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process them for the sole purpose of running the service.
• Results you generate: rights in each result pass to you the moment it is made, for personal or commercial use within the limits of your plan.
• Material we own: the app's design, our own AI models, filters, templates, and music belong to us and sit under copyright protection.

Apple App Store Subscriptions & Payments

• Where billing happens: charges go through your Apple ID.
• Adjustments: prices can move, with notice given beforehand.
• Renewal: a plan continues on its own unless cancelled at least 24 hours ahead of the period's close.
• Getting money back: refunds sit with Apple Support.
• Credits: each plan comes with a set amount of generation credits, spelled out in the plan, for making videos and images.

Prohibited Conduct

Animo must not be used to make or spread:

• Imagery made without consent: deepfakes or intimate images produced without the subject's agreement.
• Unlawful material: child sexual abuse material, extreme violence, or hate speech.
• Attempts to dismantle the tech: any effort to reverse engineer our model weights or architecture.
• Deceptive passing-off: presenting a generated result as genuine human-shot footage in order to mislead.

Privacy & Data Security

How your data is treated follows the Privacy Policy. On-device handling is used wherever it can be; when the cloud is involved, traffic is encrypted in transit and your content is cleared once the task wraps up.

Limitation of Liability

So far as the law allows, Animo carries no liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including AI "hallucinations" in a result or the loss of data.

Service Modifications

As AI rules and technology shift, these terms and the app's features may be revised. Staying on after a revision takes hold counts as acceptance of the new version.

Governing Law

Hong Kong law governs these terms, set apart from its conflict-of-law rules.

Subscription Terms & Cancellation

Animo's membership opens up the AI video templates and supplies the credits used to generate, with billing carried out through your iTunes / Apple ID account.

Membership & Credits

• The membership: a subscription opens every AI video template along with the premium features.
• The credits: each billing period brings a set number of generation credits, spent on videos and images.
• The billing account: the charge lands on your Apple ID.

Auto-Renewal

How to Cancel

1. Open the Settings app on your device.
2. Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen.
3. Go to Subscriptions.
4. Locate Animo: Photo to Video AI under the Active list.
5. Choose Cancel Subscription.

No Cancel button in view means the subscription is already off and will not roll over.

Refund Policy

Refunds aren't something we can run from our end as the developer. Send refund requests to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Free Trial Policy

Where a plan carries a free trial, buying a subscription forfeits whatever trial time is left unused. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial closes to steer clear of a charge.
